Talenox Updates Apr 2020: Payroll and Leave Reports, Easier Tax Filing, and more

Hello, dear reader! We’re still here with lots of other great ideas to help our Talenox users. There were especially quite a few features updated for April 2020; that is why, on top of our usual quarterly Talenox updates, we’re bringing you a special product update for the month.

So, what new features are we introducing to make your HR operations smoother?

1) You can export the payslips and different types of reports you need with ease

Payroll Employee Report

Here’s a step-by-step process to download an annual payroll report for all or a particular employee.

In the main dashboard, click More and select Payroll Report to view a page of all the different payroll reports you can export:

Scroll down to Payroll Employee Report. Then, choose the specific employee name and period before you click the ‘Generate Report’ button.

This report provides an overview of your employee’s:

  • Basic Salary, 
  • Total Gross Salary; and 
  • Total Net Salary

It also provides a breakdown of your employee’s taxable items. Click into the sample file for an idea of how this would look like.

Payslip Export

Here’s a step-by-step process to download a payslip report for all or a particular employee; this is based on your preferred time frame, by the number of months.

In the main dashboard, click More and select Payroll Report:

Under Employees Payslip, choose the specific employee name and period before you click the ‘Generate Report’ button.

This export will be in a PDF format. It will provide a breakdown of your employee’s Net Salary, based off of sais employee’s Earnings, Payments and Deductions. It will also share the employee’s available leave balance, at the bottom of the Payslip Export.

Click into the sample file for an idea of how this would look like.

Leave Report i.e. Leave Type-based report

This report will be organised by Leave Types, from annual leave to sick leave. The information will also be based on your preferred End Date. Here’s a step-by-step process to download a leave report for all employees.

So how do you get this report?

In the main dashboard, you can click Leave Report:

Then, scroll down to Leave Report. From there, you can select the Query Date before clicking the ‘Generate Report’ button.

Intrigued? Click into the zipped file to see a folder of all the different leave reports, labeled and organised by Leave Types; these are sample data we created for demonstration purposes.

Leave Personnel Report i.e. Employee-based report

A Leave Personnel Report is different from a Leave Report, as it is organised by Employee instead of Leave Types. 

Click into the zipped file to see the sample leave personnel reports.

2) For Hong Kong Employee Income Tax Filing, you can export and download XML files for IR56B and IR56F

You can now submit IR56B and IR56F data files in XML format to the ER e-Filing Services (Online Mode and Mixed Mode) with a limit of 800 sets of IR56 forms in one data file in each transaction.

3) For Malaysia Employee Income Tax Filing, You can generate a PDF of your LHDN Forms’ tax calculations for quality checking

Under Month Total, you can double-click an employee’s PCB/MTD amount to generate a PDF of your LHDN forms’ tax calculations to view a breakdown of the tax calculations.

4) You can now filter your invoices by your company’s entity before export

After logging into your Talenox account,

  • Head over to Add / Edit Company > Organisations > Invoices
  • Select from the dropdown list of Companies you are managing and you would like to view the invoices for
  • Filter all the invoices in the system for the specific period you are looking for
  • After filtering, simply click on ‘Download‘ to mass download these invoices all at once
