Employers: Issue Itemised Payslips or Get Fined

Tabled in Parliament on 13 July 2015, the proposed adjustments to the Employment Act will make it compulsory for employers to issue itemised payslips to their employees. The proposed changes will be made effective in the first half of 2016.

According to the proposed changes, employers who fail to issue itemised payslips, electronic or otherwise, will be fined between $1000 to $2000 by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). This includes the issuance of Inaccurate or incomplete itemised payslips. To all employers out there, we urge you to start issuing itemised payslips today.
